South Coast Mighty Hike 2024 - full marathon · 8 June 2024 ·

We're hiking a half or full marathon along the stunning South Downs way in June 2024 to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

Story

In memory of our amazing friend Liza, who devastatingly we lost to cancer in February aged just 53, Fran and I are participating in the South Coast Mighty Hike - a full marathon trek along the South Downs Way for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Liza was one of Fran’s very best friends, with a son the same age as ours, and for Sound Tech people someone I first met while she was selflessly helping my never forgotten work colleague Sharon during her cancer treatment.

Liza was a truly incredible person that made the world better, taken far too young and far too quickly by this disease.

She loved walking - Fran’s weekly walking buddy - so we hope this is a fitting way to honour her life and memory.

I have pledged to raise £250 and would appreciate any support in reaching this. By fundraising my pledge, I could pay for a Macmillan Support Worker for two days who could provide emotional, practical and financial advice to someone affected by cancer.
