We fund research and raise awareness to shine a light on Lewy body dementia

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in memory of Ian Martin.

Ian was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease around Christmas 2010, with a subsequent diagnosis of Lewy Body disease shortly after. The effects of Parkinson's are fairly well documented but Lewy Body disease is much less well known and any contributions will go towards helping to fund vital research and raising awareness of what is a cruel and debilitating disease.

Lewy Body disease is a form of dementia and affects approximately 100,000 people in the UK. More information on the Lewy Body Society can be found here http://www.lewybody.co.uk/

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we can raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Best wishes

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.
