We’re the National Deaf Children’s Society, the charity for deaf children with any level of hearing loss. Whatever the question or challenge, we’ll help find a way through. We believe in a world where anything is possible for deaf children. Together, let’s make sure nothing holds deaf children back.

Story

Hi All

In December 2009 we will be attempting to complete Shackleton's unfinished journey of 1909 and reach the Geographic South Pole on ski. One of the aims is to raise funds for and awareness of the National Deaf Children's Society who work incredibly hard to improve the lives of deaf children and their families.

I was very fortunate to reach the North Pole last year, mainly due to the huge amount of support I received from the likes of you  That expedition raised around £75,000 for the NDCS, and I feel privileged to be completing the polar (and my personal) journey as an ambassador for them again.

Thanks so much for any donation you can make; it will make a huge difference to young deaf people during a very confusing part of their lives.
