Story

This donation goes in memory of Ianto Jones, a fictional character from BBC series Torchwood, who was loved by many people all over the world.

He might be fictional, but his very existence had a huge impact on our life. He made us laugh, he made us cry. He was one of a very few LGBT characters who weren't a parody or just a tribute to political correctness in mainstream TV. He was simply a well-loved character. And his death left a lot of us as sorrowful and hurt as any death of a person close to us.

Though we, his devoted fans, still hope that he'll come back (it's sci-fi, and in sci-fi, death can be reversed, can't it?), we mourn him. In the series, he died saving the children of Earth; so it seems fitting to honor his memory by helping the Children in Need.

Mourning Fans

P.S.: We also want to express our endless gratitude to Gareth David Lloyd who played Ianto and made him so memorable and loveable.
