When an adult or child has been diagnosed with a complex or incurable condition, Havens Hospices can provide the care they need, ‘Making every day count’. Our specialist Care Teams can support them in the comfort of their own home and through our hospices, Fair Havens and Little Havens.

Story

I’m A Banker Get Me Outta Here (2012)

I'm a Banker was inspired by Liliana de Cristofano, daughter of Sarah and Roberto. She has a rare degenerative brain disorder and has been a user of Little Havens Children's Hospice for 8 years now. The respite stays at Little Havens and home care she receives from EPIC who are funded by Havens Hospices are fantastic for both Lili and the rest of the family and they would be lost without them.

This year, to say thank you for donating to Little Havens, we're giving you 5 Blue Dots to exchange at www.bluedotworld.com for gig tickets, signed CDs, discounts, free downloads, magazines & much more.

Blue Dots are reward points for good. They are given out for good deeds such as donating, volunteering, and liking non-profit Facebook pages. As well as giving you rewards, Blue Dots also help spread the word on social media, encouraging others to support Little Havens. Plus your good actions will be recorded on a ‘Good CV’ which you can share with employees, colleagues & friends.

Look out for your Blue Dot code in our thank-you message.

In addition to donating, a large group of friends from various institutions are planning another weekend of support at the Little Haven’s Children Hospice nr. Southend-on-Sea.

On Saturday 16th June 2012 we will spend a day at Little Haven’s offering support by doing work at the hospice as well as providing entertainment for the children and their families.

Some of the tasks that have been carried out in the past include:

- Maintenance and repairs in the Hospice buildings

- Gardening and tidying in the Hospice grounds

Volunteers will also receive Blue Dots as a ‘thank-you’.

We are also organising a party for some of the children who use the hospice and their siblings, this includes:

Fancy dress, entertainment, face and nail painting, craft and a sensory room. Also lots of lovely food - especially cakes!!

The year will be the eighth event that we have hosted and it continues to grow. In the seven events to date we have raised approx £860,000 and hope to be able to add to this in 2012.

Help us to support the excellent work and care that is provided by both Fair Havens Adult Hospice and Little Havens Children's Hospice.
