Story
My dear friends and family - asalaam alaykum wa rahmatullah.
The rewards of giving sadaqa during Ramadan are multiplied by 70 and the reward for any righteous act during Laylatul Qadr is equivalent to having performed the same act for over 83 years!
These last few days of Ramadan are all about mercy, a time to seek Allah’s سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ mercy for ourselves and our families but also a time to show mercy to our brothers and sisters.
I am now in Lebanon working alongside Human Appeal UK's Reach Deployment Team, distributing food packs, hot iftar meals and Eid gifts to our Syrian and Palestinian brothers and sisters.
With Allah's سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ help and your generous support, I've so far managed to raise enough funds to provide just over 350 struggling Syrian and Palestinian refugee families with enough food to last these remaining few days of Ramadan plus an extra 2-3 weeks. May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ increase your health and iman and remove all of your difficulties as you are removing the difficulties of others. Aameen.
However I feel I need to do a little more. Can you help me raise funds to feed another 50 desperate families, including widows and orphans, and meet my target of £25,000 in sha Allah?
- £60 - will provide a family-of-six with a nutritious food parcel to last for a full month.
- £20 - will provide an Eid gift to a child.
- £7 - will provide 1 hot iftaar meal for a family-of-six.
- Any small amount will be of great benefit in sha Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of you are those who feed others.” (Musnad Aḥmad 23926)
May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ reward you abundantly. Ameen. Jamal Ibn Daud
