Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.I

In my day to day job I often see the work and expert services the Air Ambulance provide. I am always amazed that this level of service is provided by a charitable organisation.

Outside of work I am a keen outdoorsman and have led or been involved in a variety of expeditions to remote places.

On the 27th of December myself and one other will be returning to Iceland to complete the 250mile traverse from North to South in Winter. A summer crossing is one of the most testing hikes available in Iceland and possibly most other places. Having completed a summer crossing in 2017 unsupported, the ultimate goal would be to complete this in winter unsupported. Many attempted crossings in Winter have failed due to the extreme conditions, the -20 temperatures mixed with 100 mph winds and driving rain have beaten most peoples kit and resolve! Add to that only around 4 hours day light, it's certainly going to be a test of will power and motivation.

I will regularly post and share updates on here about our training and preparations for the trip.

Thank you for reading and supporting!
