In the ICU we recognise the importance of getting our patients outside and exposed to sunlight and fresh air, the COVID pandemic has reinforced to us just how crucial this is. 

At present this involves a trip along two corridors and a lift, accompanied by several members of staff and all the equipment that intensive care patients require. 

 We are aiming to raise £500 000 to build a “Blue Sky” balcony attached to the ICU which will make it significantly easier to provide this hugely valuable intervention to more of our patients, more frequently

A number of  ICU nurses and consultants are going to complete  a 15,000ft Sky Dive on the 24th April 2021.
