Story

I’d Walk A Million Miles is a fundraising event on Saturday 8th April 2017 in memory of Joe Donnachie who battled against illness throughout 2016. Joe spent his final days battling pancreatic cancer in Ardgowan Hospice where he passed away on 11th December 2016.

The wonderful care and invaluable support given by the staff and volunteers at Ardgowan Hospice, not only to him but also his family was greatly appreciated and in recognition of this, we have decided to recreate a feat he carried out over 30 years ago.

Joe once walked the 22 miles from his hometown of Port Glasgow to Celtic Park for charity and it is the aim of his family and friends to do the same with the money raised being donated to Ardgowan Hospice.
