Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We have entered the Montane 50, a fifty mile run across the Lake District in UK.

We both love running, although one of us (Cathie) is much fitter and faster. Attempting the Montane 50 is more than just a fitness challenge. Fell running requires coordination skills, balance and mental acuity. For me, this is an opportunity to strengthen my physical and mental health as I turn fifty. For both of us, it is an opportunity to raise awareness, and funds, for the IFS Foundation, a charity that we both care about. 

The IFS Foundation helps break the poverty cycle in rural Sri Lanka by investing in healthcare, access to clean water, sanitation, employment, and education infrastructure. With these basic building blocks in place, kids get a chance of a decent education, and remote communities become more autonomous.
