Imagine running a half marathon (21.1 kilometres) whilst fasting. 21.1 kilometres with no food or no water.

This Ramadhan this is exactly what I will be doing. And while my hardship will be short felt, this is nothing compared to the daily challenges orphans in Iraq are facing every day.

I am looking for 21 sponsors to sponsor my 21 run, £50 per kilometre. With the support of 21 sponsors I will reach my target and you will have done your bit to support those in need.

This Ramadan, we need your help to complete the 12 Luminous Stars centres, and serve thousands of orphaned children awaiting the essential services they will provide.

The Luminous Stars centres provide orphaned children with a second chance at life.

Alongside consistent monthly financial aid to lift over 75,000 orphaned children out of poverty, each child has access to safe shelter, food support, medical aid, psychological rehabilitation, and vocational training.

We know these 12 Luminous Stars centres will be a real game-changer. We cannot wait to continue to be inspired by more orphaned children and youth as they embark on brighter futures.
