Aslaamalkuim, I hope you are all in the best of imaan and health. As you all know, at the start of last year my beloved father sadly passed away (May Allah swt grant him the highest rank in Jannah Ameen). I have set up a page to raise for a masjid in Tanzania 🇹🇿 in’sha’allah.
Growing up my siblings, my neighbourhood, and myself have seen how much my father would do for our local mosque; including cleaning, praying the Azaan and all the masjid care.
As a family we decided we wanted to raise money this Ramadan in attribute to my father as Sadqah Jari’yah. All the donations will be going to a Masjid which is being constructed in Tanzania.
In this blessed month, every penny would count. I pray Allah (swt) blesses you with 100 x more than what you donate. May Allah reward you all for your kind gestures.
This is the following information in regards to the masjid and where your donations will be going;
- Small size masjid
- 9x8 meters
- 72square meter
- 4 toilets
- Capacity 150 people
- Cost 7500
The Masjid will be equipped with water well, and 5,000 litre tank, the well can daily provide 20,000 liter of water. This facility will help the people to save time & extra labour to collect water from distant resources almost 2 KM in the case of current Village of Nsangani, there is population of 1370 people in the village and the nearby hamlet who will daily benefit from the Masjid and water well. The conserved water may also be used for ablution, sanitation, and watering the garden. The masjid committee will be given short training on maintenance of the system. Provision of Electricity through Solar Panel.
The reason why I have chose to do it in Tanzania 🇹🇿 is because Africa is the most vulnerable continent affected by extreme poverty, social problems, climate change and high vulnerability of its resources. The severe droughts in the horn of Africa are some of the indicators of this vulnerability.
In Islam the Masjid plays a major role in development of social, economic, intellectual and spiritual spheres of the Muslim community. Therefore a proactive intervention from a mosque is envisaged to play an active role for the community awareness to adopt techniques on reversing climate change besides providing the facilities for peaceful religious activities.
Your Sadaqa-e-Jarya helps change their lives
“If a human dies, then his good deeds stop except for three: a Sadaqa Jariah (continuous charity), a beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” – Sahih Muslim
I would like to mention that whoever makes a donation automatically becomes a member of this project. Every salah that is prayed, every letter of the Qu'ran that is recited, and the duas that will be made in this masjid, YOU will be rewarded by Allah (swt). Your donations will be a form of sadaqa jariyah with immeasurable rewards in this dunya and in the hereafter In Sha Allah
