The target has been reached and I am now a free woman!!!!!!!!!! It's been a long 5 weeks, but this is all down to you guys, and I thank you sooo much for donating. All money donated here is going towards the Gaza emergency appeal, please remember them in your prayers. It may be the end of the journey for me, but not for the Gazan's so feel free to keep donating.

The facebook and chocolate abstinence is 1 month old now, and the justgiving page is almost 3 weeks old. The verdict? Life sans facebook is good, I wholly recommend it! Except I am always the last person to know about stuff because I should have received a "facebook" invite. Life minus chocolate? Tis' a sad life indeed :(
I still want you all to donate though - it's not about me at all and my insignificant complaints. There may be a ceasefire but it doesn't mean we can chill now like we've done our part. We have a duty to help our br's and sr's in Gaza. So please keep donating - don't let the donor fatigue afflict you!

Assalamu Alaikum, or hello,
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. No I won't be running any marathons, bungee jumping, climbing a mountain or anything crazy like that but I believe the cause doesn't require any justification.
Any of you who switch on the news are aware of the humanitarian crisis that is occuring in Gaza. As you sit there in your comfy home with central heating, food on the table, no imminent fear of being attacked or losing your loved ones, your home safe from destruction, spare a thought (and a fiver) for the people of Gaza. What I ask of you is that you donate just £5, (unless you want to give more, please do!).
And of course you will be sponsoring something, more of a test of will. I am two weeks into a chocolate and facebook fast, which I originally started for different reasons and was meant to last a month. But now I will continue my fast until I reach my goal inshaAllah.
So help me out peeps! I do want to taste chocolate again at some point in my life!
The money you donate will go towards providing much needed medical supplies and humanitarian aid to the beleaguered people of Gaza. Islamic Relief has a field office out there and has been able to continue providing aid, despite the circumstances.Please remember the immense reward you will get for this, and that the money you give can literally be the difference between life and death for someone.
