The Henry Allen Trust was set up in memory of 4yr old Henry after he lost his battle against High Risk Neuroblastoma on the 20th October 2013. Team Henry will fundraise to provide vital special memories for families dealing with childhood cancer and assist families upon diagnosis.

Story

I had the honour of meeting  Henry Allen when Christmas had to be brought forward due to him becoming  so very ill due to Nuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer that effects babies and young children.

It was October and I was delivering toys in person, as although having years of operations and treatments his poor body was starting to fail and he wouldn't be around to see December 25th.

Henry was one of the most wonderful children I have ever met. So well spoken and kind. Whenever he opened a gift he would be suggesting who else could have the gift to play with when he was no longer around. I composed myself holding back the tears., this little boy who loved his Spiderman toys was a brave inspiring Superhero himself.

Sadly the inevitable happen and Henry passed away later that month. Henry certainly had a very positive impact on my life, even at one of the darkest moments of his very cruel illness.

In his memory, Henry's parents Mark and Dawn Allen set up the Henry Allen Trust. To provide treats and wishes to create special memories for families affected by childhood cancer, provides support and advice for families battling childhood cancer and improving processes for Oncology services within Hospitals in Henry's memory.
