PALESTINE EMERGENCY MEDICAL APPEAL
Just when we thought that the people of Palestine were relatively safe, the violence has once again erupted. As of today, 213 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza by extensive Israeli airstrikes and shelling, including 61 children, 36 women and 1442+ people have been severly injured, according to Gazas Ministry of Health. The hospitals and medical institutions of Gaza are overrun and in need of desperate assistance.
Gaza has a refugee population of 60% as a result of the decades of conflict and unrest. The economy has been severely affected with a staggering 70% of the Palestinian population unemployed with over 30% of those living below the international poverty line.
Salam Charity is working with a trusted network of partners and organisations on the ground right now providing much needed medical supplies to some of the worst hit areas in Gaza. We are providing *medicine* and *medical equipment* to many hospitals in Gaza who are overrun and at bursting point. Please give what you can at this time of need for the Palestinian people.
