IMC Fan Dance Challenge 2020 · 18 March 2019

Nightingale House offers a wide range of facilities to local people and their families living with life-limiting illness. Patients come from Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire and outlying areas. In 2026 it will cost £5,662,680 million to run the Hospice - this equates to nearly £15,514 per day.

Story

A team from IMC Britannia Wrexham will be taking part in the Fan Dance Challenge January 2020.  A gruelling 24km special forces selection test
march staged over Pen y Fan,  the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons.

The challenge begins with an immediate ascent of Pen y Fan
which is 2,907 feet (886 m). The route then descends on the other side of the
peak with a pathed route to the halfway point before turning around and
reversing the route.

The return leg provides an even tougher challenge with the evil ascent back up the Fan known as Jacob’s Ladder.   All this carrying rucksacks with a weight of around 35lbs.

This is a race like no other, physically and mentally pushing them to the limits.

The team are raising money to help towards Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham.   Please give generously.  Thank you.
