Currently, Pakistan has the world's second-highest number of children out of education, especially young girls, with an estimated 22.8 million children aged 5-16 not attending school.
The rate of youth literacy in Pakistan is a little over 60%. Poor teaching facilities, lack of substantial teachers, and lack of equipment are all contributing factors to poor education in Pakistan.
The significance of education and knowledge in Islam can be seen with the first ayah of Quranic revelation to the Prophet SAW being about education.
