Three Peaks - Three Days! · 28 March 2022

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.

Story

Hi everyone, my name is Imogen and I'm eight years old.

I have climbed Mount Snowdon before, but now I am doing the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Sick Children's Trust.

I will be climbing the following peaks accompanied by my dad between 29th - 31st March 2022.

  • Ben Nevis (1,345m or 4,413ft), the highest mountain in Scotland.
  • Scafell Pike (978m or 3209ft), the highest mountain in England.
  • Snowdon (1,085m or 3,560ft), the highest mountain in Wales.

The actual climbing will take under 24hrs.  We will be travelling in between!

I have chosen to raise money for The Sick Children's Trust because of the help and support they gave my family and I when my baby brother John was born eight weeks prematurely.

This was a really scary time for us, especially as my brother Harry had passed away just eight months before.

The Sick Children's Trust provided a place for us to stay in the hospital, so that we were together as a family while John was receiving treatment. He’s three years old now, and has started to climb mountains with me!

The Sick Children’s Trust help so many families when they are vulnerable and worried - they are amazing!

I would like to say thank you for everyone who helps this cause and I promise to try my absolute best!
