In memory of Malcolm Lee

On the 25th May 2020 my dad’s fight with cancer ended; he passed away peacefully at Prospect Hospice with his family at his bedside.
My dad was diagnosed with Sarcoma In his leg in August 2019, he had treatment in October and was doing well. On December 13th 2019 we had the devastating news that not only had the cancer returned but it had spread to his lungs and it was terminal.
My dad told us that when the time came he wanted to spend his last days in Prospect. My dad was such a fighter but in the end the cancer was just too strong for him.
Due to COVID, Prospect Hospice was only able to have four rooms open and my dad was given one. The staff were so amazing, especially considering everything that was going on; they made my dad very comfortable and made his immediate family very welcome during his time there.
The last few hours with my dad were so hard to watch but it gave me comfort knowing he was in the best hands, nothing was too much for the staff at Prospect. We would love to give something back to the team that helped my beloved dad so much so that they can continue their amazing work for other families in their time of need.
