Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Have you ever lost someone you love?  Then you will know the sense of sadness, sorrow and despair is unbearable.  We wanted to channel those feelings into something positive.  Please read on...

Earlier this year, Martin’s mum (Margaret) died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack while on holiday in Turkey with no history of heart problems.  There is a misconception that heart disease affects only men - it actually affects nearly as many women.  In fact, heart and circulatory disease is the biggest killer of women in the UK. Research shows that women think breast cancer is a greater threat to their health than heart disease. Yet women are three times more likely to die of heart disease than breast cancer.

For these reasons, Martin and Lucy are set to join around 600 cyclists on a 30 mile cycle ride of Coventry and Warwickshire to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Please help keep the female hearts of the nation beating - dig deep and donate now...in memory of Margaret.
