My mum was a passionate Doncaster Rovers fan and had a season ticket for many years. She recently passed away and, as part of her legacy, wanted to help benefit the wider Doncaster community. The club Doncaster foundation is a charity which helps bring football to schools, sports clubs and other community hubs from all types of backgrounds and mum wanted others to understand how football can help people. It helped her remain positive and passionate even when she was ill, it helped me build a fabulous relationship with her through our joint love of Doncaster Rovers and it helped her make new friends who were her "Rovers family". She loved Rovers and wanted to help others to do the same - a wonderful mum and an extraordinary lady who will be missed greatly by all who met her.
