Story

Update 14/6/2014

Thank you for the further donations, run now completed, managed to hold the overall lead for the first 1.75 miles with great pride in Naomis name, I then remembered that I'm a middle aged fat bloke, so backed of a bit and managed to finish in 2:32:31 13 mins under my PB and in 10th place overall, in thanks mainly to the extra motivation of the moment.

Please keep giving as much as you can and I will switch my London Marathon charity for next year to MacMillans.

Many thanks.

Update 11/6/2014 ;

Thanks so much for all donations so far.

The final 10 mile training run was completed today in 8 minutes less than my old personal best, so on for a good show in Naomi's name on Saturday, if any of her friends and family want to be at the finish line (around 2pm outside the Lobster Hatchery in Padstow ) we will be marking the occasion in a small way in her memory.

Or if you want to provide a bottle of water, I'll be passing the Borough around 12 30 and passing through Wadebridge at around 13 10.

Hi

I have decided to run the 'Super Serious' 17.3 mile Big Run from Wenford Bridge to Padstow at 11 30 June 14th in memory of Naomi O'Rourke who helped me in the past to prepare for my marathons.

She gave valuable support in the form of sports massage to my middle-aged legs that seemed to enjoy falling apart just days before the marathon itself!

I would like to show my support for her husband Tony and three children Stanley, Lilly and Tess and to show that we are all thinking of them.

So thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
