Story
Cancer is something that sadly touches most people at some point in their life either directly or indirectly...
Sadly our time came in March 2018 when our dad, Phil Armstrong, after a short but brave battle with prostate cancer passed away at the LOROs hospice in Leicestershire.
During his short battle we were supported by LOROs, an exceptional charitable organisation, who provided my dad and our family the care, dedication, compassion and dignity he deserved.
As a thankyou to LOROs and in memory of my dad a merry group of family members and friends have bravely decided to don the Lycra and take part in the LOROs 82 mile Leicester to Skegness bike ride on the 2nd of June 2018!
Please please donate what you can as I can tell you from personal experience that all donations really do make a huge difference to LOROs and to all those patients/family members under their expert care.
Many many thanks
Scott & Kurt and the fellow LOROs bikers (James, Tom, John, Ian, Rob H, Gavin Rob C)...
More about LOROs:
LOROs as a charitable organisation costs £7.7million a year to run of which £5million has to be funded by the kindness and generosity of charitable donations each and every year!
LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
