Thank you for taking the time to visit Shahida's in memory page, set up by her four daughters in lieu of funeral flowers, with the hope of capturing some special memories of our lovely mum, while raising money for an organisation she was passionate about.

If would like to make a donation we'd love for you to share a story or thought of Mum which we could all look back on. 

As one of mums favoured charities, we have decided to pick Pundarika UK, a Tibetan Buddhist charity which supports charitable activities in Nepal, to receive all funds raised. They support a number of areas but all donations from this page will go towards the Tsoknyi Gechak Girls School which at present cares for 120 girls aged 5 -17 and offers an excellent Western education along with Buddhist studies. It is situated just outside of Kathmandu in the Chobhar region and was created to care for and educate poor and in need girls in the Himalayan region.

The funeral service will be held at the Isle of Wight Crematorium on Friday 24 November at 10:30am, followed by the wake at Gurnard Sailing Club.
