We provide support at end of life but the majority of our work focuses on supporting those with life-limiting illnesses who have many more years to live. That support includes symptom control, pain relief, companionship, spiritual support and improving the physical wellbeing of patients

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the In-Sync Angels team Just Giving page.

We are a group of dedicated ladies, who train hard, laugh a lot and support each other to be as strong physically and mentally that we can be. We also love taking part in events and undertaking physical  challenges to  raise funds for this amazing but in need charity.

Sadly, some of us will need to use the service or  have seen loved ones, close friends and family members benefit from the amazing end of life care that Peace Hospice Care offers. Not only do they look after the patient, but their families too. For us, with my mum, we stayed there, were fed amazing food, led step by step through what mum was going through and I benefited massively from the counselling service after my mum's passing.

We are not just doing this challenge in memory of my mum, but for my dear friend Pauline Angold, super-spirited Sue Chambers, lovely Sammy James and Michele Petagine. For me, it made the saddest time of my life more bearable and we know so many more local people feel the same way.

Words from Peace Hospice Care:

To deliver our free services we need £7 million a year. For every £1 of income we receive, less than 32p of that comes from the NHS.

Thanks to In-Sync Angels and people like you  we are still here today and able to support our patients and their families when they need us most.

Despite the challenges we have faced across the last 3 years, we are determined, to raise the profile of hospice care and to help many more people, with life-limiting illnesses, understand about our free services and encourage them to access those services.

What we do is only possible because of people like you supporting us and taking  part in events like this. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and good luck with this incredible challenge!

When we were looking into what event to take part in, we all decided we really wanted a physical challenge for our 5th Peace Hospice Care fundraiser..... and we've not held back! Its going to be the most mentally and physically challenging one this fab crew has done but we are going to smash it!  This amazing  team will support each other through the copious amounts of freezing water, mud, tunnels, climbing and anything the course has to throw at us!

We have been doing extra training on top of our normal physical routines and around our work and family commitments. Its not always been easy but somehow we have found and made the time. The biggest driver that has kept us motivated is what the money we raise  will do for this incredible charity.

Please help us to help Peace Hospice Care, and let our months  of training be more than worthwhile!   Thank you in advance from me (Andi), Abi, Bez, Claire C, Gemma, Helena, Hilary, Julie, Kate I, Kate DW, Lucy,  Nic M, Priya,  Rachel, Sian and Tracey as every penny counts.
