Story

Independence Mobility's Sean Mullen and Medical Hire's Dan Thackray are taking on the Trek26 North York Moors challenge this summer to raise funds for Alzheimer's Society.

Raising funds to help in the battle against dementia is something that is close to Dan and Sean's heart, as both of their families have been affected by this disease.

Dan and Sean will be walking 13 miles on Saturday 22nd July, starting and finishing at Abbey Farm Showfield in Whitby, in view of the famous gothic Whitby Abbey. Their route will take them along the Cinder Track and the Cleveland Way Coastal Path, offering stunning views of the coast and the moors.

More information and the full route can be found online here - https://trek26.alzheimers.org.uk/north-york-moors/

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
