We support education and women's empowerment projects in rural South India. We want our projects to have a real impact on the lives of our communities by facilitating access to the necessary tools towards their own independence, growth, self-development and, ultimately, prosperity.

Story

I'm a firm believer in education as a way to improve people's lives.

As many of you will know, Diwali is the Festival of Lights, that celebrates the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.

This year, I would like to celebrate Diwali by raising funds to improve education and learning in South India.

As the founder of Indian Futures, I would be delighted if you could join our efforts to raise funds towards our first educational project in Vedanthangal, Tamil Nadu. Over 10 years ago, another charity (Laia Foundation) helped Vedanthangal villagers set up 19 after-school centres in the area. Today, the Laia Foundation has asked us to provide computers and IT teachers to each of their centres.

So here we are, sharing our story with you, hoping that you're also a firm believer in education as a way to improve people's lives. Or, at least, hoping you'll want to celebrate Diwali with us!

Happy Diwali 2017.

Anna
