Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

I'm running the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 27th March.

Early in 2019 we found out the devastating news that my Dad had prostate cancer and would need a radical prostectomy. As you can imagine this was devastating to hear especially as he was only 59 and had a huge effect on our family.

We are so thankful that the cancer was caught early and  was treatable and he is still with us as there are so many men who aren’t as lucky. There is a common misconception that prostate cancer only effects older men which is often not the case.

In the UK, about 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. There is currently no compulsory testing available to men so please encourage the men in your life to get tested.

We are so grateful to prostate cancer UK for the amazing work they do and I can’t wait for the opportunity to give back.

Thank you for all your donations I really appreciate them and it means the world xxx
