Cycling more than 150 miles from Kent to Ypres, our fantastic riders are doing everything they can to show support for our veterans.

Story

We’re cycling over 150 miles from Aylesford, Kent to the Menin Gate, Ypres for RBLI in their centenary year. RBLI support veterans to ensure they live the most independent life possible, whether that is through employment, housing or support.

We are 6 men Ex-Gurkhas who were injured during the war in Afghanistan. We are a team from the sign department in RBLI’s factory. Everyone of us has injuries and illness which will bring in more challenges but we are determined to push through our limit. Apart from Anil who has completed the ride last year, everyone of us is new to road cycling and we are very hopeful to complete the ride.We had lost hopes when we were out of the job we liked the most(soldier). We have been training on mountain bikes. Soon we are in the road cycles we will share our training with you all.

This is the challenge for RBLI’s 💯 years celebration 🍾 🎉  and mark the history of Gurkhas being involved in it.

Date: 12 July -14 July 2019

RBLI has helped us all through employment opportunities and Dawa and Surendra being benefited from living in the RBLI home(village).

Your generosity will be widely utilised within RBLI, either giving an employment opportunities, housing or life skills courses. We hope you can donate us few to reach our target.

Thank you all for your kind donation🙂.
