Build a masjid on behalf of Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef

In The Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Abu Qatadah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him.” Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah 237
Inna lilaahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
The deeply saddening news of the sudden passing of our beloved Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) has left many of us shocked and heartbroken.
Shaykh Muhammad left behind a unique legacy in his pioneering of bringing traditional Islamic knowledge to the Western Muslim World. As founder and President of Almaghrib Institute and founder of the DiscoverU programme, his work inspired hundreds of thousands of Muslims across the Western World to connect with Allah (SWT) through knowledge and dua.
As his students and those who have benefited from him directly or indirectly, we make dua for the acceptance of his service to the deen, forgiveness of his shortcomings and for his entry into jannatul firdaus with the righteous.
We have set up this fundraising page to build a masjid in Shaykh Muhammad's name as a sadaqa jariyah for him in shaa Allah. Shaykh Muhammad benefitted thousands of students for decades, let's support him in his next journey to the akhira with our best efforts. Please donate generously and keep Shaykh Muhammad and his loved ones in your duas.
Jazakum Allahu khayran,
Shaykh's students in Bradford, UK
We leave you with Shaykh Muhammad's beautifully quoted reminder:
"This world is temporary, death is real and the punishment of the grave is quite serious, so spend your days and nights in bettering yourself and getting closer to Allah.
At the time of death, all the arguments and needless word wars won't matter, all the money you amassed won't matter, all the sins you earned by indulging in backbiting, gossiping or lying won't matter.
What will matter are your good deeds - the amount of Quran you read, how you treated others, how you helped others, how much you prayed, how often you sought repentance - this is all that'll matter when your soul is about to be taken away."
