Thanks for choosing to donate in memory of our mother Valerie Rickerby. Valerie's funeral will be held on Friday 17th April at 12.20pm at Carlisle Crematorium. The British Red Cross was very dear to our mother's heart because of the food parcels they supplied during WWII to her husband Ieuan while he was a prisoner of war both in Italy and Germany. Apart from bringing hope of food and contact with home they also provided valuable nutrients to what would have been, to put it mildly, meagre diets.
