On Saturday, the 2nd of July, we will be taking on the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for Mind. 

The challenge

This challenge involves a team of walkers climbing Wales' 3 biggest mountains (Snowdon, Cadair Idris & Pen-Y-Fan), in 24 hours or less. We have a team of 5 brave walkers representing Insight Law, (Nicole Hunt, Rebecca Kinsey, Debora Farrell, Jonathan Smart & Oliver Costello).

We will begin our ascent of the first mountain (Snowdon) at 5am, aiming to complete this climb in 5 hours. Next, we will travel to the second mountain (Cadair Idris), which we estimate will take around 4 hours. Finally, we will make our way to the third and final mountain (Pen-Y-Fan), aiming to complete this within 2 hours.

Altogether, we are estimated to be walking for around 11 hours, covering a total walking distance of 17 miles (27.4km) and an ascent of 2334 metres (7657ft).

Who are Mind and why are supporting them?

Mind is a charity that assists those suffering from mental health by providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They also campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

Mental Health is a serious issue in the UK and it is an illness which has closely impacted members of our team.
