West Kent Mind are facing the most momentous challenge in our history. Many local people desperately need to access mental health support and, more than ever, we want to continue to provide our services and help as many people as possible.

Story

As part of our end of year BA Photography Show and being University of Kent students studying at West Kent College, we are showing our support and raising funds for West Kent Mind. We had booked a London gallery for our Degree Show, but due to Covid-19 we were forced to cancel and to arrange a virtual exhibition. We were raising money to cover the exhibition costs but, as a virtual exhibition is much less expensive, we decided to continue raising money, and to donate it to West Kent Mind.

Mind is an important charity and at any point in our lives, ourselves or someone we know can struggle with mental health, and we have chosen West Kent Mind, in particular, being students in the West Kent area. We would appreciate any donations that can be made, which will make a difference, especially during this uncertain situation with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our Virtual photography exhibition is from the 2/06/20 - 9/06/20, and the link to it will be on our photography show website: https://www.insight.london

West Kent Mind takes pride to ensure that no one faces a mental health problem alone. During this time of social distancing and isolation, it's harder than ever to support those who need us. With face-to-face support groups & counselling suspended, we're working hard to adapt our services to ensure we're still here for our community. With your help, we can continue to support clients through services like our Solace cafe, now operated online and by telephone.
