Story

Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha and Razan Abu-Salha had big ideas for how they wanted to help the world. One of Deah’s last Facebook posts was where he and Yusor were giving food and free dental supplies to the homeless. Razan was a regular at Raleigh’s Moore Square, where she too fed those in need and left personal notes for the recipients.

Since 2015 a yearly food drive has been held to honor their service to the community. Donations since then have translated into over 291,583 meals for North Carolinians in need. This year we hope to do it again! While the final collection and packaging will be on February 26th, it would be incredible if we could all encourage our schools, and workplaces to host a collection box so that we can collect even more donations!
