In 2014 - 6 of our staff members did the epic Southampton to Paris cycle ride with other parts of the company, all in aid of the Great Ormand Street Charity. Our 6 intrepid staff members braved all weather conditions and a broken arm - to complete the massive 260mile journey. Back then, a massive £15,643 was raised in total.

A few years have now passed - and the trials and tribulations of the previous ride have faded somewhat in peoples minds. So obviously it was decided that now was the time to convince new staff members what a great idea this trip is! They will be doing a similar route over 5 days traveling from Southampton to Portsmouth, taking an overnight ferry to St Malo. They will then set off on the 129km journey to Domfront, staying overnight in a cosy tent. From Domfront they will cycle another 139km to Senonches, staying over night in a tent again, then traveling from Senonches to Versailles. The last push would will be a quick 15km cycle ride to Paris the next day.

This time we have chosen another charity that means a lot to our team, and that is for the Dorset County Hospital Charity Cancer Appeal. We are currently building a part of their ambitions to have a LINAC facility for state of the art cancer treatment at Dorchester Hospital. However the charity is still aiming to raise a total of £1.75m to go towards further facilities at the hospital. Cancer has touched almost everyone's lives in some way, so we can all agree that this is a cause worth supporting.
