Interstate Mileage Challenge 2020 · 6 April 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

Welcome to Team Interstate's NHS Mileage Challenge fundraising page!

Interstate Hotels & Resorts is the International Division of leading U.S.-based global hotel management company, Aimbridge Hospitality. Thousands of hotel owners, developers, and guests have discovered the Interstate difference in our portfolio of hotels in the UK,  alongside Ireland, Europe and Russia and the 1,400-property portfolio managed by our U.S based division

Our UK team are undertaking a challenge to raise essential funds for NHS Charities Together, to support their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Employees across the portfolio, to includes those who have furloughed wanted a way to come together and will be walking, running or cycling 14,376 miles collectively in a bid to stay active, look after our physical and mental health and remain strong as a team in these difficult times. 14,376 represents the number of bedrooms Interstate operate across the UK and Europe. As a team we aim to raise as much as we can for the NHS!

The Challenge:

Individually we will be walking, running or cycling (stationary bike and treadmill included!) each day tracking our mileage. This will be collated weekly in a bid to reach the magic 14,376 miles by 30th June 2020!

Whether its 1 mile or 100, every distance counts and we are encouraging our colleagues to share their adventures to inspire each other, all whilst sticking to the government's advice to exercise outdoors once per day. If the government's advice changes, the challenge will be paused until restrictions lifted.

Every penny counts, and we know times are tough so any amount you'd like to give will be truly appreciated. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could raise £1 for every bedroom we operate?

Why this is important:

Looking after our mental and physical heath and well-being at the difficult time when many people are feeling anxious is important to us. Many of our colleagues are on furlough and this challenge will encourage us to come together as a community, whilst supporting the incredible NHS.

Thank you!
