Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge · 23 July 2016

We provide specialist end-of-life care, and a wide range of support services, to over 1,200 people who are living with a life-limiting illness in the Wigan Borough. Many patients are cared for in their own homes, although we also care for people living in care homes and in our In-Patient Unit.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and a group of colleagues are planning to tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on the 23rd July 2016 in aid of Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The walk is 24.5 miles (39.2km) long and takes in over 5,000 feet (1,600 metres) of climbing.

This charity is a great local cause close to home for many of us, particularly myself as my dad was due to go into the hospice before sadly passing away last year.

Please give what you can to make this challenge worthwhile :-)
