IPSWICH LADIES NETBALL CLUB – MILLION PASS CHALLENGE

Thank you for visiting our Just Giving Page

CALLING ALL MEMBERS, THEIR FAMILY & FRIENDS, PLEASE HELP IPSWICH LADIES NC TO COMPLETE A MILLION PASSES BY 17THJULY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR ST ELIZABETH HOSPICE

Coronavirus has impacted us all in many different ways and we hope this finds you all well. For many charities, it has seen a significant decrease in their income and ability to fundraise so we wanted to see if Ipswich Ladies Netball Club could play a small part in helping one of our local charities.

Why St Elizabeth Hospice?

St Elizabeth Hospice is a local independent charity that we as a club have supported across the years. The hospice has directly provided outstanding palliative care for some of our members who are sadly no longer with us and are greatly missed.

Who can get involved? Anyone can get involved in the challenge – members of Ipswich Ladies NC, their family and friends – please pass on this information and the link to anyone who you think would be interested.

How can I get involved? Any pass will do, netball, tennis ball, cricket ball, foam torpedo. If you don’t have a ball use some rolled-up socks or improvise with anything – as long as it is safe! For now please keep passing within your household groups (those you do not have to socially distance from) until the time comes when we are allowed to share equipment with others.

Purely as a suggestion. Set a number of passes that you would like to complete – this could be daily, weekly or for the whole period. It can be an individual, family or family and friends target. (Shooters please include some shots within your pass totals.) Ask family and friends to kindly sponsor you to reach your targets and they can then donate via this Just Giving page.

Extra Challenges - Within your overall total consider completing one of the following challenges – prizes will be awarded at our AGM – please ensure these are captured on video and sent to us on 07817 838866

  • Highest number of chest passes in 5 minutes – min 2 metres apart.
  • Highest number of shoulder passes in 5 minutes – min 3 metres apart.
  • Fastest 100 passes with non- dominant hand – min 1 metre apart.
  • Highest percentage of shots out of 100 – 40 close range (1M), 40 mid-range (2M) & 20 long range (3M)
  • Most whacky item passed for a minimum of 50 passes.

Keeping track of the total– To enable us to keep track of the running total please log your weekly individual or family pass count via Whats App to Avril Gray on 07817 838866 or email it to IpswichLadiesMillion@gmail.com.

Updates - we will be posting regular updates on our website https://ipswichladiesnetballclub.weebly.com and via social media@IpswichLadiesNC https://www.facebook.com/IpswichLadiesNetballClub/

We would love to get some photos/videos of you completing the challenge so if you are happy for us to post these then please whats app them to 07817 838866.

Thank you in advance for your support. Let’s have some passing fun and see how much we can raise for this excellent charity and help to boost their fundraising at this difficult time.

Best wishes
