Irish Cancer Society Story:

As more people turn to us for information, support and advice and as new needs emerge, we are responding by extending our Nurseline hours and extending the phone service to a general information & advice line to support those with non-medical issues. We have introduced remote counselling sessions for cancer patients that are unable to access face-to-face services. There is a 20% increase in demand for the Night Nursing service which is operating as normal for now. Our dedicated volunteer driver service continues to take cancer patients to their chemotherapy treatments.Unfortunately with Covid-19 having forced the cancellation of our major events and the closure of our charity shops, your support is needed now, more than ever.
