Story

I've reached my target - thanks to all givers! - but please don't stop giving. All donations are very welcome!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Over the last few years I've particpated in many marathons, triathlons and other amateur sporting events. Training and competing has given me so much: fun, friends, physical and mental health. Now I'd like to give something back!

On June 27, 2010 I'm competing in the IronMan France triathlon in Nice. It involves 3.8km sea swim, 180km mountainous bike race, and a marathon run - all on the same day. It's the biggest physical and mental challenge that I've tackled. For more information on the event, see  http://www.ironmanfrance.com/event/content.asp?pageid=332

I'm competing to raise money for WaterAid. WaterAid is an international award-winning charity that runs clean water projects across the developing world. With Wateraid, a little money goes a long way, but the need is very great. For more information on the charity, see http://www.wateraid.org/

By the way, all the costs associated with my training, travel, equipment etc, are mine alone. Anything you give goes to WaterAid!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. If you live outside UK, but in Europe, please also use this site to give! If you live in North America, please visit my parallel FirstGiving site http://www.firstgiving.com/iansironadventure .

So please dig deep and donate now!
