Story

Four first timers will be taking on an Ironman in support of The Sophie Clarke Foundation, and in memory of our good friend Sophie Clarke. Fundraising will support a vital cause by the Foundation to provide essential mental health support services to those in need.

The 140.6 Ironman is on 5 June 2022 in Hamburg, Germany and consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and a 26.2 mile run - likely to take event the most hardy of competitors over 12 hours.

TSCF are supporting a project called 'Schools Today' with the money raised, which provides vital funds for mental health services and education within schools. This provides young people and their communities the confidence, skills and knowledge to become resilient, self-aware adults.

We thank you for all your generous donations which are not going unnoticed!

Please support us however you can and follow us on social media 'Ironman4Sophie' as we continue our relentless training for this once in a lifetime event!

About the charity

As a family, we set up The Sophie Clarke Foundation in honour and memory of our very special sister and daughter who took her own life in October 2020 at the age of 26. Sophie’s story is a powerful example of why we need to check on all of our friends, even those who appear to be happy, strong and thriving.
