This year I am supporting Ashgate Hospice by participating in several racing events culminating in the world famous Ironman Triathlon UK at Bolton on 20th July 2014. It is a long-distance triathlon race consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile cycle and a marathon 26.2 mile run, in that order and without a break in less than 17 hours.

·         6th April - Sheffield Half Marathon

·         11th May - Holymoorside 10k

·         18th May - Ashgate Hospice Fancy Drag Race

·         24th May - Beaver (middle distance) Triathlon

·         19th July - UK Ironkids 2014 (Bolton)

·         20th July - UK Ironman 2014 (Bolton)

Donating will help the Ashgate Hospice in many ways, helping to fund towards services such as:

·         Specialist nursing care 24 hours a day.

·         Home Care visits to patients and providing support to their carers.

·         Clinical care in the Day Centre combined with the opportunity for patients to be within a social atmosphere.

·         Caring for families, friends and carers of people who have died or are dying.

·         Support services ranging from providing nutritious meals for patients to transporting patients to and from the Day Centre.
