Story

On September 3rd, we lost my beloved father in law, Brian Foster to Acute Myloid Leukemia.

As the saying goes, it is better to have loved and lost, than never loved at all. Our family was deeply blessed to know and love Brian and I'm so thankful for the many years we got with him.

Cancer affects all of us and it seems to be affecting so many of those I love at the moment. I will be doing the Ironman not just for Brian but for all of those I know and love who are affected by it.

Including those I love who are living with the cancer and the aftermath of cancer: Matt Henry, Steve and Alice, Sam E., Emma I., Elle C. and those I love who don't want to be named at this time.

And those I have loved who have lost their lives to cancer: Lexy Pfeifley, Jan Litchard, Ian Rowe, Sara Jansson, Jack Kemp, and Charlie Flowers

If you want to track my progress on Sunday 15 September 2019 (bib 488) or watch me cross the finish line at Ironman Wales, it will be broadcast live on the Ironman Wales website: https://eu.ironman.com/triathlon/coverage/detail.aspx?race=wales&y=2019#axzz5zLZAJnae
