Story

(UPDATED 13th JULY)

I DID IT, I BROKE THE WORLD RECORD FOR THE INDOOR 140.6 MILE TRIATHLON DISTANCE (ROWING)…..to give it its OFFICIAL NAME VIA THE GUINESS WORLD RECORDS!

My official time was 8 hours 17 minutes and 12 seconds beating the longstanding record by over 7 minutes. My splits were 15:06, 4:37:38 and 3:19:53.

Again I want to thank you all for you kind & generous sponsorship so far. If you are visiting this page and you haven't sponsored me, obviously Garden House Hospice Care & myself will really appreciate your hard earned monies at the moment.

If you wished to see any of me in action then you can go to;

1) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4ynQA1PccW0 for the most amazing video by the Recreational Runner (James Kilroy). If you watch 2 minutes or the whole 35 minutes you will get the feeling of the day and what it meant to everyone

2) There are some absolutely amazing photos on https://www.facebook.com/PhotographyTryssesoone-675908372791864/

3) Do go to SG1 Radio Live https://www.facebook.com/sg1meds/ and their video titled SG1Radio - Iron Man Record. From there you can see the FULL stream of the day plus the radio interviews.

4) Or there was a YouTube Live Stream of https://youtu.be/58xvdkbUTQw

And finally here was my original story about what/why I am doing this.....I appreciate at the moment and for the coming months or even years, that times could be hard but I am raising money for Garden House Hospice Care, who still do need monies to continue offering their great services.

Garden House Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing life limiting illnesses, to enable them to have the best possible quality of life by providing care and support in the setting of their choice, without discrimination https://www.ghhospicecare.org.uk/about-us/vision

The Hospice need to raise almost £5 million in charitable income to run these services and rely on the support of the community to fund their work.

So to raise money for the Hospice on Saturday 11th July 2020 at 8am from the SG1 Radio Studio in Stevenage Town Centre, I will be trying to break the indoor 140.6 mile triathlon world record.

I will need to row 3.86 km on a rowing machine, cycling 180.25 km on an indoor bike then running 42.2 km on a treadmill in LESS THAN 8 hours 24 minutes and 47 seconds.

The Hospice and myself would massively appreciated your monetary donations in respect of my attempt as they do for donations to their shops (which I have started doing). Also on the day of the event, coronavirus guidelines permitting, I would love your support between 8am and (hopefully!) 4.24pm on the 11th to get me through nearly 5 hours on the bike and over 3 hours on the treadmill.

If you can not make it to the event it will be live on SG1 Radio from 7.30am. And you can watch this via Facebook, SG1 Radio app, tunein, Alexa, DAB radio etc

Thank you
