Story
I'm fund raising for 2 year old Jacob Willet, who has cancer and is undergoing life saving treatment.
On September 9th I'll be racing Ironman Wales and October 7th Ironman Barcelona. At Barcelona I'll be guiding Haseeb Ahmad, a British Para triathlete to attempt a world record (fastest blind athlete to complete the Ironman distance). The current record for fastest blind athlete stands at 11:03, our primary goal is to lower the record, but our target will be to break 10 hours.
I'm a firm believer that the standards in British distance running have declined over the past 40 years and this is down to 2 key things. The first is the trend for 'longer shorts' and the almost complete disappearance of 'short shorts'. The second is the disappearance of the moustache, which was once an integral part of any elite long distance athlete.
I know it's not 'Movember' quite yet but I'm starting early with the Tache and aiming to raise £100 per week for the next 7 weeks. It's 3 weeks to Wales and if I raise £300 before the race, the tache stays and will be COLOURED GREEN for the start. It's 7 weeks to Barcelona, if I raise £700 in 7 weeks, the green tache will make another appearance to set the world record for Haseeb.
