Story
In July Ruth, Beth, Hetty and Eloise are hiking 26 miles in memory of Grace Jefferyes our amazing big sister and awesome Aunty. Grace died of bowel cancer in October 2022 and leaves a huge, irreplaceable hole in all our lives.
Grace was a one off, hilarious, smart, gutsy and with the biggest heart. She dealt with cancer how she dealt with life, and coined her own catch phrase by being "irritatingly positive". What Grace experienced was brutal, but through it all she'd put her unique positive spin on the darkest of days. We're fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support because they were able to make Grace's experience a bit more bearable. From her Cancer Nurse specialist who was there during her lock down surgery, to the financial support they helped her access so she didn't need to worry about working during her chemo.
With waiting times for cancer treatments and personal independence payments rising to record levels, we want to ensure Macmillan can continue to support other people just like Grace. So we would be thrilled if you could support us with a donation to this great cause and inspire us in our challenge to hike 26 miles along the Northumberland Coast Line. To make Grace smile down on us, we've coined her catch phrase and will be "Team Irritatingly Positive"!
Thank you, Beth, Ruth, Harriet and Eloise (aka Hetty and Whizzy)
