GB24 Race · 1 June 2019

The Glo Trust exists to bring community transformation and spiritual wellbeing to Offerton. We do this primarily by employing a part-time youth worker to invest in young people in the community, encouraging faith development, offering hope in the midst of challenges, and serving with love.

Story

On 1st June 2019 I'm running the GB24 Ultra - Britains toughest 24 hour race - in the Lake District.

It's a 5.8 Mile loop with 380m(!) of ascent.  The aim is to do as many laps as possible in 24 hours. I hope to do at least 14 laps (81 miles).

It will cost me: A reasonable entry fee; around 500 miles of training; sore muscles; lost tonsils; a whole day of my life; probably a few tears.

It will cost you: A few quid if you'd be happy to support this great cause.

It will pay for: The Glo Trust to continue to provide a part-time youth worker for Offerton Estate to care for the young people's practical and spiritual wellbeing.  Young people in Offerton are fantastic and they are worth investing in!  Our part-time youth worker, who came to faith as a teenager on the estate, does an amazing job.  Her role is is funded entirely by grants, donations and your sponsorship here!

Thanks for contributing towards this amazing work!
