The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
Our usual fundraising for The Children's Hospital Charity has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but we don't want that to stop us raising vital funds for our amazing charity of the year.
Children are still receiving life saving treatment at Sheffield's Children's Hospital, but they can no longer have regular visits from friends and family - they can now only have one parent visit for their entire stay.
We've challenged our Partners in Sheffield to take on a challenge relating to the numbers two and six, given the annual 26 mile London Marathon cannot go ahead this weekend.
Here are the challenges our partners have pledged to take on...
Elizabeth Parry - 2.6 hours of Yoga, Pilates and Relaxation
Sally Rissbrook – 5km run every day for the next 26 days
Edward Tomlinson - 26km running over 2.6 days
Stuart Robinson & Rob Watson – Virtually cycle 266km together over the weekend.
Matt Currie – Cycle 26 miles over the weekend
Danny Revitt - 26 sets of 26 press-ups within 26 hours – in fancy dress!
Louise Jenkins - 5km cycle on cross trainer every day for the next 26 days - kicking off the first 5km in fancy dress!
Neil Gilbert - 26km on a cross trainer in 2.6 days
Jonathan Scarsbrook - 5km run a day for 26 days
During these hard times, we appreciate anything you can donate towards this amazing cause. If you're not able to donate at this time, please share this page, and the photos and videos from the challenges.
Thank you,
