Isaac rowing the English Channel · 2 May 2020

We’re an anti-poverty charity & community of food banks, working together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank, while providing practical support for people left without enough money. (Please note we're unable to forward funds onto individual food banks, funds raised here go to Trussell)

Story

My school friend Luke is running a marathon in May to raise money for the NHS. So I thought in May I could row the English Channel (33.3km) on our old dusty rower. I know lots of charities are really struggling at the moment and not everyone has enough food to eat, so I have chosen to raise money for the Trussell Trust. They support food banks nationally and try to make sure people don't go hungry.

Message from Trussell Trust

'Last year, food banks in our network provided more than 1.6 million emergency food parcels to people in crisis. More than half a million of these went to children. It’s not right that people can’t afford the basics. With your help, we can help end the need for food banks. As a nation, we expect no one should be left hungry or destitute. Illness, disability, family breakdown or the loss of a job can happen to any of us. With your help #ThisCanChange'
