OFNC is a non-denominational Christian organisation with charity at the heart of what we do. One of the primary objectives of OFNC is relief of persons in distress and hardship.

We are supporting two charities this year – 

1. Victims of Boko Haram attacks in Nigeria 

2. Sickle Cell Disease Research.

About Boko Haram

Boko Haram is a terrorist group that has killed and destroyed many lives and properties in the North East Region of Nigeria. There are hundreds of thousands of displaced people in the North East Region as a result of the activities of Boko Haram. OFNC will be supporting victims of the Boko Haram attacks through our charitable giving.

About Sickle Cell Disease 

Sickle Cell Disease is an inherited blood disorder commonly seen in people of African-Caribbean origin which results in anaemia and can cause very serious complications such as stroke, increased susceptibility to infections which can significantly impact on the quality of life of those affected with the disease leading to significantly reduced life expectancy compared to the general population. OFNC will be supporting research into sickle cell disease in order to improve outcomes for those affected and reducing the burden of the disease.
